EI Evening LectureEnergy Security and Climate ChangeSpeaker: Professor FS Bhinder University of HertfordshireWednesday 12 March 2008 The Energy Institute (EI) is pleased to announce its March evening lecture. The two most serious problems facing humanity today are energy and environment. As the processes of energy supply and use have a direct effect on the environment, a solution for one issue will have a profound effect on the other. The energy consumption per capita of a community influences the standard of living of that community, whilst the state of the environment affects that community’s wellbeing, the air that it breathes, the water that it drinks – all essential sources of life.Profession Bhinder will present the results of ongoing research in alternative energy carried out at the University of Hertfordshire. The lecture will also examine the pros and cons of the various options in the context of the link between energy and the environment. With both issues of critical importance to the future of societies and the planet, this event is expected to stimulate a lively debate. The lecture will be held at the Energy Institute, 61 New Cavendish Street, London W1G 7AR, UK. It will last for approximately 1.5 hours. Registration is at 16.30 and the lecture will commence at 17.00. We aim to conclude at 18.00.To book your place at this event, contact: Tiana EttienneEvents Officert: +44 (0) 20 7467 7174f: +44 (0) 20 7580 2230e: tiana@energyinst.orgTiana EttienneEvents OfficerEnergy Institute61 New Cavendish Street, LondonW1G 7AR, UKt: +44 (0) 20 7467 7174f: +44 (0) 20 7580 2230e: tiana@energyinst.org.ukEI Awards 2008Enter your project here before 2 June 2008Access the benefits of membership today by joining the EI online @http://www.energyinst.org.uk/DISCLAIMER:This email (including attachments) contains confidential information belonging to the sender which is legally privileged.
