Exactly.
Before we moved to Germany we bought a stack of heavy duty winter clothing in the UK.
Big mistake - it was totally inadequate for Bavarian winters.
We immediately had to buy a full SECOND set in Munich within a few days of arrival.
That's also when we discovered snow shoes/boots. |

Yes I just replaced a pair of worn out snow boots with a new pair of Sorel's Caribous. A Canadian brand but now made in Vietnam. The boots say they are good to minus 40 and with the felt liners they are quite good and would probably be OK that cold if you were being active but I think they are over stating it if you sitting still as in a hunting stand. Still worth the $150 with the weather I deal with. |
