I persaonally think that geological peak oil will have more impact than peak oil demand, but renewables are doing quite well in a cost per joule sense.

Nowhere is there any questioning of whether or not we should be producing more oil let alone looking for more. Not even an inkling! Climate Change obviously hasn't got though to these sort of people.
