So, we should all take the unsubstantiated word of the sworn enemies of Iran - the head chopping, woman hating, homosexual murdering, journalist butchering, genocidal Wahhabist nutters of Saudi Arabia - who also happen to be best buddies with the Yanks who also just happen to have been pushing for the destruction of Iran for decades ever since their man in Iran, the Sha, was deposed.

In your humble opinion?

Righto....

Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Versus your opinion that anything coming out as hard evidence must be wrong because a conspiracy nutter says so?

Head chopping, women hating, homosexual murdering, journalist butchering, and genocidal nuttiness are common features of Islamic countries and not unique to SA.
Such countries are not IMHO at all trustworthy, but in this case I suspect that they are telling the truth.

Frankly, we have absolutely no way of knowing who is and isn't telling the truth. There's little point trying to second guess the propaganda from either the US or SA.

And how might someone know the difference between propaganda and evidence? It isn't as though any of us were sitting there watching and taking pictures.

Not that is would matter, the first thing conspiracy nutters do is claim that real live evidence is manufactured and propaganda. Quite a quandary.

Physical evidence has been produced by the authorities in SA and whilst I was not there to photograph it, many press photographers WERE present and DID photograph the exhibits, and the photographs HAVE been widely published.

Sure...and some seem inclined to claim it is propaganda. The entire conspiracy game appears to be to claim all the evidence...evidence meaning the stuff that sure looked like evidence to me, as you've described plus reputable people being involved, science being utilized to find things out, and so on and so forth, is just crap because <fill in hysterical ramblings>.

9/11 being a near perfect example. And my first clue as to how far the nutters have dragged normal conversations on normal topics right into nutter land.

Sorry but I just tried to post in the off topic forum in the hopes of discussion on this verboten topic, and I can't post there at all. Says only moderators can. So how can me and some nutters have a good go round?

Interesting analysis.

Are we seeing the beginning of the end of the House of Saud?

This is starting to stink of a Yank False Flag operation to give the pretext for attacking Iran that they have been desperate for.

Would that not sound more plausible if it were a saudi operation that has the intent of drawing the US into fighting iran for them? No saudis killed as far as i read and a drop inproduction means what they do produce goes up in price .
The thing i see as being really absent from this is radar data. There's a lot of both civil and military radar present in the gulf and if the missiles had been fired from iran surely they would have been picked up by someone .

If they were small drones would they have been picked up on radar?

Radar is line of sight. Drones and cruise missiles fly at very low altitude (less than 100 feet) and are hidden from ground based radar (including civil aviation radar) by the curvature of the earth until they are too close to intercept.

Only airbourne radar can see them coming, hence the need for air superiority in major military invasions by the US.

The US alone has the 5th fleet in the gulf with around thirty ships and three hundred aircraft which is potentially a pretty decent amount of radar which after the tanker attacks is hardly likely to be turned off . Cruise missiles certainly would be picked up . I'm not sure about drones but i would assume that to fly across the gulf they'd be relatively large to give them the range and payload. Worrying if these cheaply made drones can evade some of the most sophisticated military hardware on the planet.

Houthi rebels claim to have "captured thousands of Saudi troops, and killed many others"
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-49866677

If true, that sounds like a significant setback for KSA and increases the risk of a wider war.
