I don't hope it will be contained. I hope for the opposite. I hope it makes it out of Africa.

I agree, I don’t see it as a problem, more a solution. However, it’s a hemorrhagic disease, and consequently there’s a simple solution, but the greedy ones want to develop a vaccine. The most likely outcome from vaccinating will be it morphs into something worse which the vaccine definitely won’t contain.

To be clear. I don't personally wish for any individual to die.

But, I also want to see the human species in particular and the rest of life in general make it intact into the next millennia and that is not going to happen unless a lot of humans disappear very soon.

It's a paradox that cannot be resolved.

ISTR that the O/P is a firm believer in large doses of vitamin C as a cure, or preventative when dealing with this disease.

Though I agree population reduction will happen and the planet will be less stressed as a result, unfortunately it is something the globalists would like to happen too, but only so they control everything that then survives

Go to about 46 mins for the summary

I don't reckon many, if any, of those in charge want population reductions - particularly in capitalist countries. Firstly, because they are stupid as well as greedy. Secondly, because if the population crashes, those in charge will lose their grip on power since much of that grip is born of having the rest of us ruthlessly compete with one another (and so have no time to tackle our unerlying enemies) in an ever shrinking, ever degrading jobs pool.

It was the Black Death that finally broke the back of feudalism.

None of this is sufficiently rational to warrant trying to debate it.

I think it is particularly awful to want a load of Africans to die from Ebola. There are some good people who post in this forum, but frankly I do not want to associate in any way with people who have such awful views.

And who are you terming “Africans”? If you look at the people who have “wanted” people in Africa to die, perhaps you should look at Idi Amin, Robert Mugabe, Hiliary Clinton, oh and the British Empirists who went there to disposess the natives, and later the African tribes who sold their countrymen into slavery so Europe could have sugar in their tea and eat cakes and biscuits. So perhaps you should get off your holier-than-thou horse and carry on making sure your countrymen keep ingesting toxic fluoride in their drinking water and affecting their childrens’ mental capacity, while telling them the myth it will prevent their teeth from decaying..

LJ said specifically that he hoped ebola makes it out of Africa, not that he want Africans to die. You often get the wrong end of the stick.

This is what I find totally unacceptable.

I think the simplest solution is that if the moderators believe that this is an acceptable part of discourse that I resign from this forum.

Do I take it you are advocating censorship?

I still hope that the disease will be contained.
I do not agree with those who hope that it "makes it out of Africa"

However such views are just about acceptable and not in my view worthy of deletion or other censorship.
Things that I delete without mercy or a second thought are spam and adverts.
Things that I delete after thought include insults and personal attacks, and quotes thereof and replies thereto.

The duties of a moderator or Admin ARE in effect censorship, But this should not be excessive.
I do censor adverts most days!
Posts by established members are only deleted if BADLY off topic, or SIGNIFICANTLY insulting, or GROSSLY offensive.
Or otherwise VERY unsuitable.

Looks like it might get out of Africa:

Quote:
As part of efforts to stem the spread of the often deadly disease, drug manufacturer, Merick, shipped 4,000 doses of an unlicensed Ebola vaccine to Congo that was proven to have been effective in a previous outbreak of the disease in West Africa. There's just one problem: the vaccine needs to be stored between -60 and -80 Celsius. In a first world country, that mightn't be an issue--we've the facilities and infrastructure to make chilling the vaccine to those temperatures a piece of cake. Congo? Not so much: their power grid is frequently troubled by brownouts and blackouts.

Merck? Now there’s a name that will give you confidence in a vaccine if you have heard of Gardasil
