Also, if Assange did return to Australia, he would be on a flight to the US
before his feet hit the ground

Nils Melzer: Demasking the Torture of Julian Assange

Why this article has not appeared in the Western MSM:
Quote:
This Op-Ed has been offered for publication to the Guardian, The Times, the Financial Times, the Sydney Morning Herald, the Australian, the Canberra Times, the Telegraph, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Thomson Reuters Foundation, and Newsweek.

None responded positively.

John Pilger’s report. “Corrupt” doesn’t even come close to describing governments nowadays, or perhaps ever did.

So, Assange has served his sentence for the bullshit trumped up charges in this country. But, UK judges have now ordered that he must remain incarcerated indefinitely in advance of his inevitable extradition to the US. Which is what all of this.. ALL OF IT.. was ALWAYS about.

Make no mistake about this now. What has been done to Chealsea Manning will be done to Assange. The f***ing Yank empire with have it's blood.

And the UK is the bitch that is going to serve Assange up to the Yanks.

Where are the political leaders in our own country while all of this is happening? People like Corbyn? But he is not the only one.

Nowhere is the answer.

Nowhere.

Corbyn would not send Assange to the US. A Labour-led government is his best hope.

I read this article yesterday
Quote:
The US government was dictating its instructions to Lewis, who was relaying those instructions to Baraitser, who was ruling them as her legal decision.
the whole process is a farce. I don't believe he'll survive until the end of the extradition process.

Sadly, I agree with you, CE - I can't see Assange surviving to the end of the extradition process either.

John Pilger was on Going Underground today - he called it a Show Trial

And you continue to make statements so absurd that I am struggling to believe you are for real.

Of course Corbyn would not allow Assange to be extradited to the US. You still seem to be labouring under the delusion that Corbyn is part of the establishment. It is a really weird thing for somebody to believe.

The exact reason why the establishment is so terrified of Corbyn is that he is the sort of person who'd defy commands of the United States on a point of principle. Politicians aren't supposed to do that.

Yes, that was a fascinating article which would have qualified for 'shocking' in the recent past. Such behaviour by those in power has inured us. The US regime and its UK (and Australian) lackeys have sunk to new lows.

Please keep on topic and at least somewhat polite.
I have deleted numerous off topic posts about differing types of crude oil, the academic achievements or not of various people, and have deleted other posts for containing personnel insults.
