Am I allowed to screen the following DVD's at a local meeting which I am in the process of organising, the DVD's are "Imposed by Nature" and "End of Surburbia" both ordered from this site?

Also any info on what I should discus etc. would be appreciated too. I have a good idea of how the meeting will go, but i'm always open to advice.

Cheers Wayne.

If you listen to the DVD commentary on "The End of Suburbia" they say on their that public showings of the DVD (non-profit, presumably) are OK.

Wayne, let us know when the showing will be and we'll advertise it in our events section.

Thanks I will. It will probably take place in January, as I need to get all my material together.

I still don't have the DVD's, I ordered them on Tuesday or Wednesday, so I have'nt been able to watch them yet.

Hi Wayne

Firstly I'd suggest that you only show one, and I'd go for EoS, as they essentially cover the same ground.

Secondly, try to watch them yourself with anyone else who is organising the meeting, before the show. You will then be able to put them in the context of your audience's lives.

How can we prepare for higher fuel prices?

How will our lives change with petrol/diesel at ?1/litre, ?1.50/litre, ?2/litre?

How can we prepare for higher food prices?

How viable is my job with higher fuel prices or higher plastics costs or higher fertiliser and pesticide costs?

How can we make others aware of what lies ahead?

I also suggest that you spend as much time as you can looking through the posts on this site, especially in the 'Energy Beyond Oil', 'Preparations' and 'Living in the Future' sections.

It's important not to scare your audience too much at the start of their aquisition of PO awareness and to give them a sense that there is plenty they can do to prepare.
