I would argue that the US abandoned South Vietnam when the lie of our involvement could no longer be hidden from the tax paying public.

Your Iran policy just results in China and a few other countries getting discounted Iranian oil at the same time ruining the Iran economy.

Well, ruining the Iranian economy does appear to be the point, so maybe we're doing something right there?

I doubt we'd abandon the Brits or any of their relatives. But you never know with the new political environment in the US.

By all means over-extend yourselves strategically on borrowed Chinese money. You will go the way of the Western Roman Empire. It won't end well for anyone except China.

Eh, we didn't need much Chinese money to get overextended in the first place. And if you believe the climate claims being made in a forum that couldn't figure out Geology 101 in the recent past, China doesn't get out of that any better than anyone else.

Syrian Arab Army moving to the Northeast to confront Turkish forces source

It is not just the Northeast where Kurdish forces have retreated and the SAA have taken over - there are reports that they have taken over Taqba Air Base and will take over Raqqa.
They are also heading towards the oil and gas fields that are east of the Euphrates.

I don't remember where I read this so take it with a grain (rock?) of salt, but according to the article, the SAA is taking over YPG positions in Manbij and other Kurdish-controlled areas as to prevent any further Turkish incursion.

And speaking of the US "withdrawing" troops from Syria, they just redirected them to Iraq... Of course, the Republicans are going to gobble it up and praise Trump for "bringing the troops home", while he just put troops from an imperial war and put them into another one.
