Glad we've got good old British bobbies! I can remember my Dad's truncheon, it was made from an African hardwood, I think, and very hard, but that had knife cut marks all over it from where he had protected himself with it and doubtless got his own back.

What's the point of carrying, and getting out, an ASP and pepper spray if you don't use them?

Reports are a bit confused but it seems the garda decided that they were ill equipped to deal with rioters carrying firearms (or at least appearing to) and quite sensibly retreated to live another day and called in armed backup. I would think that good old British bobbies would have done the same.

Now it seems we are in chapter 3 of the doomer playbook.....
